How to find your lot dimensions

Search "[your county] GIS parcel map" or "[your county] property search" online. Most counties have free interactive maps showing lot dimensions. Alternatively, your property survey (received at closing) has precise measurements. Your county assessor's records also list lot square footage, though not always dimensions.

This tool uses simplified geometry

This calculator uses rectangular lot approximations and straight-line distance measurements. Real lots may be irregular. Neighbor setbacks assume a neighbor's house at the side property line at the stated distance — your actual situation may differ. Always measure your specific lot before building. This is a planning aid, not a permit determination.

Informational Only. This calculator provides planning estimates based on simplified geometry. It does not constitute a permit determination or legal opinion. Always verify setback compliance with your city's planning or animal services department before building.
